Cheque please?

First of all: Sorry for not updating the homepage these last couple of days.
Organizing the popfest was fun, but also very time consuming, and we have only been capable of communicating through Facebook and Twitter.

But let’s be honest now: That all went pretty damn well, don’t you think?

A huge thanks to all the bands, who we’re all so danm nice, to you who turned up, listened, danced, sang along and tributed to the effort of making the popfest, what it became: The best weekend of our lives.

Please help us out one last time by sharing any videos or pictures that you took, so that there will be something for the archaeologists to find and prove that this actually happened. That it wasn’t just a nice long dream. There are already some available on YouTube and on our Facebook page. Keep them coming – please!

There is even a really nice review of Friday night by We’ve put the link under the “press” tab. If you find any other mentions surfing around. Do let us know about them…

That being said. We need a few weeks or months to let the dust settle, because it has been whirled up high this weekend. We need to sit down and do the math to figure out whether there will be a Copenhagen Popfest 2015 done by us. Chances now are pretty high, as it seems that our only remaining goal – to balance this to an economic status quo – has been reached.

The picture above is from this afternoon. We went back to Huset to clean and empty out the backstage room. After we did that, we took the refundable cans and bottles to turn them into cash. We bought a bottle of rum for it, as we thought that we deserved it.

If you come back in 2015, you’re not getting any – it will most likely have been drunk by then….

Long live indie pop!
We love you all!

Brunch and music Saturday?

As mentioned earlier, there will be a wakeup afternoon gettogether at the café Din Nye Ven Saturday the 17th. You’re all very welcome. The café opens at 10 A.M. and the bands will start playing sometime after 12. The Popfest fun will continue there until 5 P.M.
People with festival wristbands will get discounts on selected light foods and strong beverages (coffee and/or beer).
We’re hoping to see you all there.
Check the schedule and the venue pages for more info.

…heard it on the radio

There are so many things to get excited about.
Today, Thursday the 15th, there is only one day until the fun begins.
Also today: Morten and Mikkel will be on national Danish radio from 4 – 5 pm (CEST) playing a few songs by some of the Popfest artists and talking about the why’s and whens.
Feel free to listen to our soft voices. It’s on DR P6 Beat – If you missed it, the interview is available through this link (scroll to about an hour in).

Last addition and single day tickets

Great news travel in pairs.
First of all we are happy to announce that we are adding THE GARLANDS to the lineup to make sure you will wear out those dancing shoes of yours entirely.
The Garlands
Read more about them here.

As this concludes our lineup for the main event (for the second time), we also decided to announce a schedule that shows which bands are planned to play which days and where. As we are not yet set on all the details, it is subject to possible changes.
But as we are pretty sure that the days are correct, we’ve decided to make single-day tickets available too – and that is the other great news!
See you there – in less than a month now…

Your new friend for Saturday

Besides the events taking place @Huset-KBH we will host a sort of wake-up and get-together in the afternoon Saturday the 17th. This will be held in a café not far from Huset called Din Nye Ven (Danish for Your New Friend), and we’re happy to announce that a few additional bands will play in the café – and hopefully we’ll see many of you there for a coffee, hair-of-the-dog or just a chat in between the bands playing.

We will post more info about what time the event is and such, once we get a little closer, but for know let it be known that you’ll be able to catch a show from both
LONELY TOURIST and LOST SUMMER KITTEN there. Read more about the both of them here and check out Din Nye Ven through the link in the sidebar.

Pelle and Sebastian

And we’re proud to present the lovely, charming Pelle Carlberg as the last of the eight acts to play at Copenhagen Popfest. Read and listen more about Pelle here.

This concludes the lineup for the main event at Musikcafeen (Huset-KBH), but we’ll soon announce a few more surprises to fill out your weekend, so get your tickets now.
